The Best Halloween Costume Compilation
October 30 2014, 0 Comments

It's that time of year again! Where being the scariest, creepiest, weirdest, and the most flamboyant and outrageous isn't frowned upon, but instead, celebrated!  Halloween is probably one of the best holidays. Ever.

We have gathered (from across the web) of what we think is the most representative of what Halloween is all about! -Enjoy!

BuzzFeed has done it again. Putting together the best "double take" costumes.  We are LOVING the Kronk. It is a dead ringer. Great job, guy!

The adorable Lego family. Brilliant! (Did we mention it's all handmade by the talented mom, Roxy?)

WIN! The best couple's costume. Such details- definitely going above and beyond in the spirit of Halloween!

Topical! Love. And looks like a quick and easy DIY costume!

Best costume for the snack monsters! Why not be what you like to eat- In this case, Doritos?? Check out more awesome DIY costumes over at Brit & Co!

Because Instagram is THE BEST.

Probably one of the easiest "costume" -if you know how to use makeup. BUT perhaps the most tiring, and challenging costume to "stay on"....since you pretty much can't talk, smile, or basically move any facial muscles for the entire Trick o' Treat sesh.  Gotta think twice about this one.

I can't look away! He is adorable and super scary. Don't know if I should call his parents brilliant, or twisted. Hmm...

Welcome to the 21st century. Emojis are everything. How do people text without it now?

Where can we get one???

WHERE CAN WE GET ALL OF THEM???

Xo, esselle

Alfresco Date Night
October 16 2014, 0 Comments

Happy October!

Indian summer is coming to an end (here in Northern California), and to celebrate what little summery days we've got left -I've decided that a romantic date night in the backyard with the Mr. would be the perfect way to appreciate the sunny dry heat.

This cool toned picnic was inspired by The Coastal- amazing handmade ceramic coasters that are now in store- with the most beautiful geometric patterns!  All the pieces were pulled to create that perfect grey palette look for the picnic.

I bet you are dying to know where all the items are from. Don't fret- here is a list of stores to find all the pretties.

  1. esselleSF - coasters, flatware, butter knife spreader, grey platters, and adobe arrow tray
  2. Homegoods- faux fur blanket, white knitted blanket, pillows, silver pumpkin, and wooden bin
  3. Target- drinkware

PS. Stay tuned for the new hostess box reveal THIS SATURDAY! ;)

And We Are Back
September 04 2014, 0 Comments

Hi There!

We are sorry we've abandoned the blog for awhile.  As a small business owners, we try to do too many things at once, and sometimes that results in leaving out what's more important, which is connecting with our audience.  We missed you and now we're back to sharing bits and pieces of our lives with you.

Moving forward, we are excited to announce that a brand new Hostess Box is in the works! (Sorry, no pictures yet- but there will be a grand reveal in October!) The new box will be perfect for winter and holiday dinner parties this year!  Our goal has always been to ease the life of busy modern women that love to host, but just don't have the time to do ALL the necessary shopping.

esselle has got you covered again!  The new box will cater to a party of 8. And as always, you just worry about prepping and cooking the food, and let our Hostess Box do the decorating for you.  From dinner napkins, centerpieces, to name card holders; we won't let you down in presenting an Instagram worthy tablescape.

We love serving and presenting our customers with new products each season, so we hope you will love our new box just as much as we love curating and designing it.

The new Hostess Box will be revealed and made available in October.  Sign up to our newsletter HERE if you want to get a Sneak Peak and a chance to Pre-Order the box!

In the meantime,  our sold-out Gold Coffee spoon is BACK IN STOCK! We are super excited about getting these back after getting quite a few emails asking when it'll be in stock again.  Better late than never!  There aren't many in stock, so get yours while supplies last :)

There are SO many beautiful Easter egg DIY's right now, and we thought it'd be fun to create one of our own!

We saw the simple, yet bold geometric patterns from our Adobe linens, and just knew that our eggs would look adorable wearing similar pattern!

Another style that we've always loved is the heart shaped finger stamping.  It's a great DIY to do with kids, just make sure the wee ones clean their hands real well after :)
